yeah they were heading in the wrong direction.
Given that they reaped more than 10,000 heads from a class known to wear wigs, this is not too unlikely to have actually happened.
What did they do when hair wasn’t long enough? Holding it awkwardly with both hands at the ears?
Inefficient story telling. Bad human.
